“O times, O manners!” is the cry running through Poshli Come.
The title plays with Russian and English: “Kam” echoes “come”, as well as a similar-sounding word familiar to those who know the slang. “Poshli Kam” also sounds like the Russian word poshlyakam — an immediate hint at the album’s mischievous subject matter.
Inspired by the atmosphere of the 1990s, popular jokes and variations on near-erotic themes, the album nevertheless reminds us how important a person’s choices and decisions are, and how much depends on them.
